Several years experience and of fun! Cozy Kittens Chubby Cheeks - Oh so cute! We've listened carefully to our customers, planned carefully for the health of our kitties and kept the "Traditional Persian and Himalayan face and features".
And now.... We are pleased to announce Cozy's latest craze!!!

I have been breeding for 18 years and over that period I have watched the Persian and Himalayan face be severely inbred to achieve the "Show Look" that these poor cats look just plain nasty. All the cats shown on our web site have the old style traditional "Baby Doll-Face".
We have kept our faces sweet and honest, open and expressive by using more careful breeding practices and staying away from inbreeding with parents and siblings.
We doll-faced breeders have worked hard to stay clear away from that pug-peke "Show face". However, in trying to achieve a completely different look from the show face, I have noticed many doll-faced breeders breeding the nose so far out that these cats are more so resembling Maine Coons, Ragdolls and Birman. This breeding has produced long pointed muzzles and sharp long pointed ears at the top of their heads, which is again not representative of the old style traditional Persians and Himalayans.

We at Cozy Kittens believe there IS a happy medium between the "Long Nose" or "Peke Faced" Persians and Himalayans seen most often today which will take us back to the original old style tradition of this breed.
Because health is first and foremost in our breeding practices, we do NOT inbreed our Persians to achieve the round pudgy cheeks.
This is done through very careful and thoughtful planning and selection of breeders. Our waiting list, happy satisfied customers and repeat customers are the testimony to this breeding program. The results of this program have brought BIG TIME approval!!!
People are thrilled with the small rounded ears at the sides of the head, the wide open and bright colored eye color, full luscious coats, perfectly structured chubby cheeks, classical traditional "Baby Doll-Faces".....as well as HAPPY and CUTE facial expressions.
You have watched us add some new breeders in the past three years bringing in a "New Look" to our traditional Doll-Faced beauties. It's been a GREAT success, so we will march further in bringing more of the "Chubby Cheeks".....that everyone has shown so much interest in over the last couple years here at our cattery.
First we have started out with solids and a few himalayans, now entering into some bi-colors and soon we'll focus this new style of the chubby cheek doll-faces into some of our new speciality colors.
