Some people has received an email message like the ones below.  This is NOT a valid email message from NEMR.  Please do not reply to this message.

There may be other messages in the future that has a little different wording, but disregard them also.  Northeast Missouri Rural Telephone Company

 does not send out e-mails or make calls asking for account information or other personal information from our customers.  We want all of our

 customers to be aware of such scams as they are occurring in our area. 

 

Subject: Attention nemr.net Email Account Owner !!! Email Notice

Upgrade/Maintenance All nemr.net Email Accounts

We regret to announce to you that we will be making some system
maintenance on our nemr.net Webmail account. During this process you might
have login problems in signing into your nemr.net Webmail account, but to
prevent this you have to confirm your account immediately after you
receive this notification.

To confirm and to keep your nemr.net webmail active during and after this
process, please reply to this message with the below nemr.net Webmail
account information. Failure to do this might cause a permanent
deactivation of your nemr.net Webmail account from our data base to enable
us create more spaces for the 2010 session.

Send your nemr.net Webmail account for confirmation stating:

Your account shall remain active after you have successfully confirmed
