Putnam County Fair - Building Exhibits  Pictures

Our fair has several buildings that house all sorts of exhibits ranging from
commercial businesses to 4-H projects to flowers and horticulture. The
Putnam
County Fair
also boasts of a fine arts display put on by our local artisans. Below
is a small sampling of what you might see here.

Above: Our horticulture and flower display is both impressive and somewhat unique. The Garden Club helps put on the flower show  which is one of the finest (if not the finest) in north Missouri.

Above: The Putnam County Fair holds a drawing on the last night of the fair where thousands of dollars worth of prizes are given away. Tickets can be purchased in the Commercial Building or before the fair.

Below: 2004 marked the first year that the 4-H building had special displays in it. This one is a display of Big Bucks taken here in Missouri. It drew tremendous interest and these types of displays will be back again.

Below: Food (cakes, cookies, breads, etc.) and canned goods have been a part of the fair since the early 1940's. Superintendent Connie Hunt (in the middle) helps the food judge determine how good of  cooks we have here.

Above: Our fancywork display (home economics) shows all of the talented folks we have. Quilts, woodworking, crochet and other fine works are on display. Our fair is also run by volunteers, some of whom are shown here.   Above: The scarecrow contest is a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. They are on display in the horticultural building all week. Maybe you'd like to make one and show off your creativity.
