Volunteer Information

            The Putnam County Fair is run completely by volunteers. These volunteers handle everything from running the fair to manning the foodstand. Without them, the fair would not be a success! However, the fair is always looking for new people that are willing to help out. If you would like to volunteer your services in some regard at the fair, we'd love to hear from you! Some of the areas where we can use help are:

    food stand workers                                     parking help
    gate workers                                               Junior (4-H, FFA) and Open Show assistance
    prize ticket sales                                          fair clean-up (garbage, etc.)

     Listed below are the members of the Putnam County Fair Board. They too donate their time and talents to help make our fair the success it is today.

 MaShelle Trimble, President

   MaShelle has served on the Putnam County Fair Board since 1989.  In addition to being President, MaShelle is in charge of the Commercial and Business exhibits at the fair.   

Bill Triplett, Vice-President

   Bill has been on the board since 2002. Bill is in charge of the bull buckout and helps with other miscellaneous jobs on the grounds.

 

 Peggy Hart, Secretary

   Peggy serves as the fair's Secretary and has been on the Fair Board since 1999. She also works on publicity and marketing for the fair

 Paula McCormack, Treasurer

   Paula is the board's Treasurer and has served on the Putnam County Fair Board since 1996. Paula works with the fair tickets as well as the prizes and prize tickets. She also works with the Junior Livestock Sale. .

 James Scott

   Jim has been a member of the board since 1987. Jim works with the livestock portion of the fair and also works very closely with the Junior Livestock Sale.

 Paul Rouse

   Paul has served as a member of the board since 1993. He handles the gates and parking at the Fair.

Randy Sands

   Randy joined  the fair board in 2006 and is our newest member. He is in charge of our Demolition Derby currently.  

 

 David Wood

   David was elected to the fair board in 2003 and helps Paul with parking and gates as well as general fair responsibilities. 

Rita Ingersoll

   Rita joined the fair board in 2006 as well. She works with Paula on prizes and prize tickets and assists in other areas as well.

 Joe Koenen, Extension Specialist

   Joe has been assisting the fair board since 1980. He helps with the Junior shows and anywhere he is needed.

 Mary Oden, Youth Program Assistant

   Mary works with the 4-H part of the fair, both livestock and building exhibits.

 Randy Morris, FFA Instuctor

   Randy assists with the FFA livestock projects as well as with the farm mechanics, etc.

        As you can see, it takes everyone in our community to help us. Again, don't hesitate to contact us if you would like to or can be of help somewhere!
