DOROTHY MARIE DRESSLER
(1934-2002)
Dorothy Marie Dressler, 68, of Granger died Friday, June 28, 2002, in her home.
She was born the daughter Henry (Doc) and Bertha (Allen) Dressler on May 25, 1934 in Franklin, Iowa. Dorothy graduated from high school in Franklin.
She was employed at the Schaffer Pen Factory before she moved to Granger. In Missouri, she was employed at the Kahoka Shelter for the Disabled. She had been an active participant in the OATS Bus Program for over 30 years. Dorothy was honored as the OATS Volunteer of the Year in 1994.
Dorothy attended the Union Church in Granger until it closed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Melvin Dressler; and a niece, Amanda Nicole
Dressler.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Wanda Dressler of Las Vegas, NV; a nephew, Elmer Albert Dressler of Las Vegas; many friends and neighbors.
A memorial service was scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, at the Gerth Funeral Home in Memphis with the Rev. Charles Hammack officiating. A memorial fund has been established and can be left at or mailed to: Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO., 63555
