This
St. Louis hunter seems to be thinking "Now, what are we going to do, we
filled all our tags opening morning!!!"
This
Burlington, IA. hunter and his wife make it a family trip, by staying with
relatives and hunting on their land. They'll soon be gathered around
the kitchen table cutting off steaks and grinding meat for seasoned salami.
Workers
at The Kahoka Locker are wading through almost 70 deer at 3 p.m. opening
day. They'll be working all night processing the meat for the hunters to
take home.
Tags
on the racks of these big bucks indicate that the workers at the locker
need to cape them out for mounting.
At
the locker, Eric Hopp is donating his doe to the Food Pantry. (He
is still looking for the buck to fill his second tag.) The meat will
be processed and given in food baskets at Christmas time to needy residents
of Clark County.
Tom
Holmes of Medill, MO. has a doe for a hood ornament on his jeep.
He wasn't too thrilled about her size but the meat will be tender.
Besides, he needs to get back on the road in a Wal-Mart semi, keeping all
those shelves filled for us!
