Goals of the A+ Program:
* All students will graduate from high schoolBenefits:
* All students will complete studies that are challenging and have identified learning expectations
* All students will proceed from high school to a college, vocational/technical school, or high wage job
with workplace skill opportunities
Students who have attended Putnam County High School for three consectitive years prior to graduation and have met the requirements below may be eligible to receive paid tuition, one-half the cost of books, and general fees while attending a Missouri public community college, vocational or technical school as a full-time student.Requirements:This benefit is good for a full two years within a four-year window from graduation. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA at the postsecondary institution to remain eligible.
To be designated as an A+ graduate, students must:
* Complete normal standards for graduationNote: Students must apply for federal financial aid (complete a FAFSA form) and males (18 yrs) must register for the selective service.
* Maintain 95% attendance rate
* Earn a 2.5 minimum grade point average
* Complete 50 hours of unpaid tutoring/mentoring
* Maintain good citizenship
* Avoid unlawful use of drugs
