College and Technical School Links

Goals of the A+ Program:

* All students will graduate from high school
* All students will complete studies that are challenging and have identified learning expectations
* All students will proceed from high school to a college, vocational/technical school, or high wage job
       with workplace skill opportunities
Benefits:
Students who have attended Putnam County High School for three consectitive years prior to graduation and have met the requirements below may be eligible to receive paid tuition, one-half the cost of books, and general fees while attending a Missouri public community college, vocational or technical school as a full-time student.

This benefit is good for a full two years within a four-year window from graduation.  Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA at the postsecondary institution to remain eligible.

Requirements:

To be designated as an A+ graduate, students must:

* Complete normal standards for graduation
* Maintain 95% attendance rate
* Earn a 2.5 minimum grade point average
* Complete 50 hours of unpaid tutoring/mentoring
* Maintain good citizenship
* Avoid unlawful use of drugs
Note: Students must apply for federal financial aid (complete a FAFSA form) and males (18 yrs) must register for the selective service.
