We
are located on a small farm in northeast Missouri. The nearest town
of any size is the college town of Kirksville, home of Truman State University.
Kirksville is also the home of osteopathy where Dr. Andrew T. Still originated
osteopathic medicine and the present osteopathic college of medicine is
located.
Our kennel was established in 1967. About ten years ago we discovered
one of dogdom's best kept secretes, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.
Our foundation stock was Corder's Dandy Dagwood (Dandy) and his three mates;
Corder's Blondes Hav Mor Fun (Blondie), who was Dandy's original mate;
Sirius Christa McAuliffe (Chrissie) and Chrissie's litter-mate sister,
Sirius Che Sara Sara (Sara) who are younger. We have lost Blondie,
but Dandy, Chrissie, and Sara are happily still with us. Dandy is
still healthy at 13 years, and Chrissie and Sara who are 9 years old keep
the spring in Dandy's step. They are, of course, enjoying their retirement.
Today's kennel consists of daughters from our foundation and their mates.
