Winter has arrived in North Missouri and here in the county. That means basketball as well as other activities at the school and Putnam County's Extension Information Night, scheduled for February 8th at the school. Please come and support our teams and attend this educational program that is open to all interested persons.        

Nestled in the rolling green hills of north central Missouri, Putnam County is home to friendly people who value education, strong families, and outdoor recreation. This quiet rural community's county seat is Unionville, with surrounding towns of Graysville, Hartford, Lemons, Livonia, Lucerne, Martinstown, Powersville and Worthington.

 An agricultural based community, major income sources are beef cattle, hay, corn and soybeans.   For the wildlife enthusiasts, there is an abundance of deer, wild turkey  and other wildlife.    Lake Thunderhead provides a retirement  retreat, as well as an attraction for those of all ages who love fishing, boating  and the water.
The citizens of Putnam County  take a great deal of pride in their farms and towns and the beauty of the landscape and natural woodlands.
