Rotary Meetings

Rotary meetings in Unionville are Thursday noon lunches that everyone in the club enjoys.   The home-cooked meal usually includes salad, meat, vegetables, dessert, homemade rolls, and beverages. The meeting is opened with the pledge of allegiance to the flag and a prayer.   Our club still enjoys singing from the Rotary songbook at every meeting and is fortunate to have an excellent accompanist.  Members are responsible for the weekly program which often features someone from the community who speaks to the club to keep members up to date.  These speakers may be students, teachers, business people, or anyone else who has done something interesting and is willing to share about it.  During the school year, a group of high school seniors attend and are honored each week.  Birthdays are celebrated and often riddles are offered up.  Those who don't know the answers get to contribute to our scholarship fund.  Rotary meetings are fun to attend and an excellent way to network with others from the community.
