Museums of the Area
The Schuyler County Historical Society Museum in The Hall House
is located in Lancaster open from Memorial Day till the first day of school, 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday thru Friday, also by special appointments. The walls of this wonderful old home of Diamond Billy Hall hold some very interesting items and stories of History.  
The Downing Depot  is located in Downing Highway 136 east into town turn on route V follow about 2 blocks. You cant miss this Red painted Depot along side of it is the old Jail building. A trip to the Depot is a vision into History.

Lancaster Country Club
Golf Course located right off of highway 63 just south  of Lancaster and the 63 north, 202 west, and 136 east highway intersection. The club house is a comfortable spot to rest, quench your thirst, and check out the latest events coming up.
Tourism
Schuyler County's Polo Field  
Grassy green field can be found just 1/2 mile east off of north highway 63 on the Missouri Iowa line. Located in the Paul Brock Memorial Park.

The local youth love their ball games.  And they play with enthusiasm.  Boys and girls alike will have many games going throughout the summer.

Hunting areas of Schuyler County
Rebel's Cove Conservation area  is open for hunting, trapping, fishing, and camping under statewide regulations. Herefordale Ranch is locally owned with facilities and ranges. Also check out the The Missouri Department of Conservation Atlas for Schuyler County
Library
3D McKenzie Archery Course
Can be found 3 miles east of Queen City off route O at the Herefordale Ranch hunting cabins.   Shoot times are 8am-dusk, registration on site on day of shoot, shoot fees.
Bosco's Gun Club
Bosco's Gun Club located off of Highway 63 to the east  behind Amoco Truck stop just south of the 63 and 136 Highway intersection.  Featured there are trap shoots, pistol ranges, catfish lakes, camping area, and golf driving range. ATA Registered Target trapshoots are held thru October.  
Sally Mountain Park
 Bluegrass music can be found located 3 miles west of Queen City on Route W .  Dates are scheduled  Camping facilities on location
 
Coffey Ropers
The Downing area hosts an arena located Highway 136 east into town then right onto route V , 1 1/2 blocks on the left.  Events consists of Team roping and Barrel racing, two of the events scheduled will end with awarding of a New Saddle.  
66 Wrangler Saddle Club
The Wranglers hosts their events in Queen City at the Saddle Club Grounds just off of Highway 63.  Horse Shows, Trail RIdes and Campouts are some of the events scheduled.
Old Settlers Celebration
Join our little friend here in some old fashion fun at an old fashion price. This yearly town celebration takes place August in Lancaster on the town square. Bring your lawn chair, sit in front of the bandstand and enjoy each evenings entertainment. A local talent show, gospel music, featured talent, baby show and the crowning of the queen just to name a few. There are game booths, bingo, a food stand, and prize drawings every night. Arts and crafts expo and Area Youth Art Expo Compatition.  Check with  events for Old Settlers listing on all the wonderful happenings for the year 2000.
 
 
Pioneer Days
Town celebration held in Queen City at the city park area during the last week of July begining with Junior Livestock shows.   All kinds of races and games, Ping Pong drop, Car Show, Kiddie and Grand parades,Buffalo Barbecue, Porksteak Barbecue, Stage shows, Teen Barn Dance and all kinds of good old fashion fun. Enjoy the local and featured entertainment while you chat with old friends and even meet some new ones. Listen closly at the end of each evening for the cash prize drawings.  This is an event that brings out the kid in everyone.  So bring your lawn chair and join us.   No Alcohol on grounds PLEASE !
Downing Apprecation Days
Downing welcomes everyone !  September is the month for this yearly town event.
